Bulk Makhana (Fox Nuts) for German Importers
Graded, handpicked fox nuts for health-food wholesalers, South Asian grocery distributors and snack brands in Germany, with batch lab reports and traceability.
Fox nuts for the German health-food and snack trade
Short answer: National Makhana Udyog supplies graded, handpicked makhana (fox nuts) to German importers in 4 Sutta+ to 6 Sutta+ grades, shipped from India to Hamburg or your nominated port. Air trials start from 8 kg, and a 20 ft container carries about 2–2.5 tonnes. Prices are quoted on request.
German buyers include organic-style and health-food wholesalers, South Asian grocery distributors and snack brands that roast and season fox nuts for retail. Most prefer clean, uniform kernels, so we sort by size, handpick on an inspection conveyor and pack in 10 kg bags for repacking, or in private-label retail packs.

What German importers should confirm before ordering
- German food law: the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB) applies in Germany alongside EU rules. The EU-wide requirements are covered on our Europe importer page.
- Customs and importer details: EU customs declarations need an EORI number, and importers should check with their customs office and local food control authority. We provide lab reports and batch records for every consignment.
- Labelling: Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 requires labels in a language the consumer understands in the member state of sale. For retail packs sold in Germany, German text is normal. We print to your artwork or supply bulk bags for repacking.
- Packaging Act: in Germany, companies that place filled packaging on the market normally register in the LUCID packaging register and take part in a take-back system. Your importer or brand usually handles this, so check it before launching retail packs.
Rules change. Your importer or compliance adviser should confirm the current text before ordering. We supply the reports and records that support that check. We do not claim organic or retailer-scheme certification. The EU Access2Markets site has a general guide to importing goods into the EU.
How a German order works
Most German buyers start small, repack locally and then scale.
- Enquiry. Product, grade, quantity, and whether you want Hamburg, Bremerhaven or another port.
- Sample for your lab. An air trial from 8 kg for sensory and laboratory checks, ahead of any container.
- Quotation. EXW, FOB or CIF as agreed. Payment is 50% advance and 50% against the commercial invoice (LC accepted).
- Preparation. 2 to 15 working days for preparing the material, then loading at an Indian port. Sea transit is additional.
- Import file. We send the phytosanitary certificate, Certificate of Analysis, certificate of origin and batch record for your customs agent and food control file.
