What German importers should confirm before ordering

  • EU food law: Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 sets traceability and importer responsibility across the EU, including Germany.
  • Contaminants and residues: maximum levels for contaminants such as aflatoxins (Regulation (EU) 2023/915) and pesticide residues (Regulation (EC) No 396/2005). We provide lab reports per batch.
  • Labelling: Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 requires labels in a language the consumer understands in the member state of sale. For retail packs sold in Germany, German text is normal. We print to your artwork or supply bulk bags for repacking.
