What UAE importers should confirm before ordering

• Importer and product registration: food importers in the UAE are registered with the local food authority, for example Dubai Municipality in Dubai, and food products are generally approved before import. Your importer handles this and we supply the documents.
• Labelling: pre-packaged food follows GSO labelling rules, with Arabic text and production and expiry dates. We print bilingual English and Arabic labels on private-label packs from your artwork.
• Halal: many UAE buyers ask for Halal documents, especially for roasted and flavoured lines. We do not claim a Halal certificate we do not hold. Tell us before quotation, and we will confirm in writing what we can provide.

Requirements change. Your importer or customs broker should confirm current UAE rules before ordering.

Roasted & flavoured makhana for UAE retail

Gulf supermarkets and gifting brands often prefer ready-to-eat pouches. We supply roasted makhana in bulk or retail packs.

• Process: the makhana is first roasted in an air fryer. Then, on customer demand, seasoning is added for flavouring with avocado oil, olive oil or pure ghee.
• Flavours: Peri Peri, Salt & Pepper and Lemon & Mint.
• Packs: 50 g pouches, master cartons, or your own brand and bilingual label.
• Other seasonings can be discussed for private label.
• HSN code 20081929. Halal documents, if you need them, are confirmed in writing before order.

Roasted makhana packaging

1. Pillow pouch, 10–100 g. Rollstock format is custom-printed laminated film formed, filled and sealed on a fully automatic machine with nitrogen flushing. Preformed pouch format is filled and sealed on semi-automatic equipment with nitrogen flushing.
2. Stand-up zipper pouch, 25–100 g. Resealable, filled and sealed on semi-automatic equipment and nitrogen flushed before final sealing.
3. Composite can or PET jar, 40 g, 50 g, 70 g and 80 g. Oxygen absorbers and/or desiccant sachets may be used as per the packaging specification.
4. Transparent bulk pouch, 250 g, 400 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Supplied for repacking and food-service use.
5. Secondary packaging. Corrugated master cartons.

How a UAE order works with us

Gulf buyers usually settle labelling and Halal questions first, then price. We follow the same order.

1. Brief. Tell us the product, grade, pack size, quantity, the emirate and whether you want CIF Jebel Ali or another port.
2. Labelling and Halal check. Share your bilingual English and Arabic label needs. If you need Halal documents, say so now, and we confirm in writing what we can provide.
3. Sample. An air trial from 8 kg lets your QA team check size, colour and moisture.
4. Terms. EXW, FOB or CIF as agreed, 50% advance and 50% against the commercial invoice (LC accepted).
5. Preparation and loading. 2 to 15 working days, then loading at Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Kolkata or Haldia.
6. Documents. Phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin and Certificate of Analysis go to your clearing agent.
