Short answer: National Makhana Udyog supplies handpicked makhana (fox nuts) to importers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Moisture is 8–11%, with 5% on request for hot-climate storage. Air trials start from 8 kg, and a 20 ft container carries about 2–2.5 tonnes. Prices are quoted on request.

Gulf import points to check

• Labelling: GSO standards for pre-packaged food apply across the Gulf: Arabic labelling and production and expiry dates. We print Arabic labels on private-label packs from your artwork.
• Local registration: each country's authority (for example SFDA in Saudi Arabia) may require product or importer registration. Your importer handles this and we supply the documents.
• Halal: plain makhana is a plant product, but many buyers ask for Halal documents, especially for roasted and flavoured lines. We do not claim a Halal certificate we do not hold. If you need Halal documentation, tell us before quotation and we will confirm in writing what we can provide.

Roasted & flavoured makhana for Gulf retail

Hypermarkets, Indian grocery chains and snack brands in the Gulf buy roasted makhana ready to pack or in retail pouches.

• Flavours: Peri Peri, Salt & Pepper and Lemon & Mint.
• Process: the makhana is first roasted in an air fryer. Then, on customer demand, seasoning is added for flavouring with avocado oil, olive oil or pure ghee.
• Packs: 50 g pouches, bulk packs, or your own brand with Arabic text printed to your artwork.
• HSN code 20081929. Halal documents are confirmed in writing before order. We do not claim a Halal certificate we do not hold.

Roasted makhana packaging

1. Pillow pouch, 10–100 g. Rollstock format is custom-printed laminated film formed, filled and sealed on a fully automatic machine with nitrogen flushing. Preformed pouch format is filled and sealed on semi-automatic equipment with nitrogen flushing.
2. Stand-up zipper pouch, 25–100 g. Resealable, filled and sealed on semi-automatic equipment and nitrogen flushed before final sealing.
3. Composite can or PET jar, 40 g, 50 g, 70 g and 80 g. Oxygen absorbers and/or desiccant sachets may be used as per the packaging specification.
4. Transparent bulk pouch, 250 g, 400 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Supplied for repacking and food-service use.
5. Secondary packaging. Corrugated master cartons.
